Bart Rendel & Doug Parks

Bart and Doug are veteran church leaders and co-founders of Intentional Churches. Through coaching and training over 300 churches, they developed a biblically-based church leadership system calledChurchOS™, which is being used across the US and beyond. They are the authors of Intentional Churches: How Implementing an Operating System Clarifies Vision, Improves Decision Making, and Stimulates Growth.

Garry Poole

Garry is a skilled outreach specialist, training facilitator, and strategic planning consultant for churches and organizations around the world. He is the founder and Lead Advisor at www.OneLifeAdvisors.com, an organization designed to walk alongside church leaders to inspire, equip and mobilize believers to a lifestyle of effective spiritual influence. Garry is the author of numerous discussion guides and books, including the award-winning Seeker Small Groups. And he is an Assistant Professor of Christian Thought at Houston Baptist University. In the past, he planted and led an outreach-oriented church in Indianapolis for 5 years. Garry also served on staff as Willow Creek’s Evangelism Point Leader in South Barrington for 18 years.

Mike Hickerson

Mike is the Lead Pastor of Mission Church in Ventura, CA. He describes himself as a church planter, lucky husband, outnumbered dad of three daughters, Oklahoma Sooner fan, coffee addict, and a struggling surfer.

Ron Sylvia

Ron is the founding and lead pastor of Church at The Springs in Ocala, Florida. The Springs began in 1994 with twenty-one people and has grown to over 3,500 people on three campuses. With a church planting DNA, The Springs has partnered to 50 start churches nationally and internationally. 

He and his wife, Teddi, have three sons, Jared, Jacob and Luke, who are each married and have made him the grandfather of seven.

Allie Bryant

Allie has served in full-time ministry for the past 9 years at Allie Bryant has served in full-time ministry for the past 9 years at Traders Point Christian Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. She has worked in Marketing and Communications, Project Management and currently holds the position of Strategic Alignment Executive. A key component of her job is activating an operating system through the organization and making sure the work that is getting done directly connects to the strategy in order to achieve their mission of “Removing unnecessary barriers that keep people from Jesus.” Allie has been married for 12 years and she and her husband have a three year old daughter.

Lauren Wood

Lauren has a passion for the local church and seeing people take next steps in their faith journey. Having served in multiple churches over the past 19 years she currently serves at Legacy Church in Farmington, Connecticut which she helped plant over seven years ago. As the Executive Ministry Director of a church plant, Lauren likes to say she’s done a little bit of everything in the church. Thanks to a lead pastor who celebrates strategic planning Lauren was introduced to Intentional Churches. She trained as an Activator this past Spring and is working on preparing the staff for their first Lap One.

Aaron Bettencourt

Aaron is the executive pastor at Harvest Time Church, a non denominational Church in Fort Smith, AR. Having worked at HT for 11 years in a variety of roles, the last 3 years have been as the executive pastor overseeing organizational planning, strategic alignment and systems. HT as a church has been utilizing church OS for two years, with two years prior experience of strat op. Aaron has served as the activator for all 4 years of this process. He is passionate about helping ministries grow healthy and effective, building systems and organizations that last all while learning from others. 

Aaron spends his time with his wife Amanda and two daughters. Amanda is a realtor and the two of them invest in residential property together. Their daughters, Sage and Rose, love to dance, sing and, unfortunately for the parents, enjoy Peppa Pig. These three are the most important part of his life.

Andrew Conley

Andrew has faithfully served on staff at Destiny Church in Broken Arrow, OK in multiple facets for 12 years. He has gone from janitor, youth pastor, campus pastor and currently serves as connections pastor. He is passionate about actively supporting his local church and pastor to fulfill their calling and mission to “Know Jesus and Show Jesus.”

As an activator, Andrew has had the opportunity to help equip the church to stay focused on its mission to go after the One. Andrew has been married to Alyse for 15 years and they have three active boys. They enjoy having “everyday adventures” preferably out in the woods somewhere!

Skyler Goodman

Skyler serves as the Senior Pastor of Heritage Church in Lake Zurich, IL. A multi-site church in the suburbs of Chicago with a passion to help people Find & Follow God. He is passionate about helping churches discover how to accomplish the goal of reaching the lost and making disciples. His unique perspective as a Senior Pastor, Special Needs & Adoption advocate, and strategic thinker shapes how Heritage Church embraces and champions the Great Commission Engine and mobilizes people to live on mission. He is married to Amy and together have three kids and the cutest puppy in the world!

Doug Coburn

Doug values innovative solutions and is a passionate and relational leader who loves to see healthy leaders leading growing, healthy churches. Doug currently serves as the Executive Pastor of Elim Gospel Church, a non-denominational, multi-site church in the Rochester, NY, area. He has been in church leadership for 18 years, and has been actively coaching and investing himself in other churches since 2007.  

He is a graduate of Elim Bible Institute and has earned a Masters of Divinity from Regent University. He is also a Certified Leadership Coach through Life Forming Leadership. 

Doug and his wife Sharon live in Lima, NY, with their two sons, Brian and Zachary.

Mark Brewer

Mark is the Director of Leadership Development for Ready Set Grow and the 4:15 Leaders. He just recently finished 30 years serving at Oaks Church where he was Senior Executive Pastor. His greatest desire is building duplicatable systems for making disciples and growing high-performing teams. He likes everything from chocolate to football to astrophysics.

Ben Coleman

Ben has been serving churches and parachurch ministries in Texas, Louisiana and Florida since 2000. He currently serves on the Executive Leadership Team at Sugar Creek Baptist Church as the Adults Pastor. In this role, he gives strategic leadership to the various age-group ministries, as well as being the point person for their ChurchOS initiatives. Ben loves working with teams to create alignment and mobilize the church to reach their communities for Christ. Ben, and his wife Megan, have been married since 2004 and have 4 children. You can normally find Ben with a cup of coffee in his hand, talking about golf or the last book he finished reading.

Matthew Robinson

Dr. Matthew Robinson serves on the Executive Team at First Orlando as Pastor of Ministries. He loves leading teams to tackle complex ministry opportunities in innovative ways. Originally from Tampa, Matthew is a recovering college mathematics professor and administrator and transitioned into full-time ministry as an Executive Pastor after helping plant a church 15 years ago in Tallahassee. He loves spreadsheets, baking, monorails, his wife Rachel and their two daughters.

Matt Wright

Matt has a passion to partner with churches and nonprofits to help them walk in alignment with mission. After working in the marketplace, Matt began a vocational ministry in church leadership and worship with a natural focus to help ‘aim’ churches through strategic planning and direction. Most recently, Matt served as the Executive Pastor at Willow Creek Community Church in Chicago, IL. Prior to his role as XP, he launched and was the Lead Pastor for Willow Creek’s South Lake Campus, and the Executive Pastor for Willow Creek’s North Shore campus. Matt has served for several years as a coach and facilitator with Intentional Churches and has coached many churches and nonprofits across multiple denominations, both in the US and abroad. His collective experience intersects in a unique way as he helps move churches forward. Matt and his wife Christa have three boys and reside in the Chicago area.

What to expect.

ChurchOS Conference Tracks are designed with you and your team in mind. You will choose a track and stick with it from beginning to end of the conference. You will be grouped with like minded leaders in a one of a kind, cohort-style learning experience. Using the ChurchOS Intentional Growth Planning Process, each track begins with discovery where you help set the agenda and ends with extreme application to immediately move you forward – making friends along the way!

Foundations Track

New to ChurchOS? Then this track is for you. The Foundations Track is specifically designed for leaders who are self-implementing ChurchOS using our book or digital Activate Experience. Deepen your understanding of the fundamental ChurchOS tools and system in a transformational way. Walk away with practical, immediate action steps for what’s most important in your church.

Catalyst Track

The Catalyst Track is designed for churches that have done or are getting ready to do a ChurchOS Lap One or Advanced Lap. It will focus on the full utilization of ChurchOS by broadening and deepening your understanding of the system. Have strategic conversations that will deepen your ownership and prepare you and your team for deep implementation. Learn how to best utilize ChurchOS in ministry departments and campuses with practical examples and experiential learning.

Advanced Track

Your team speaks a common strategic language and stories of the ONE being eternally reached and transformed are emerging. If this is true about your church then the Advanced Track was designed especially for you. Discuss the deep application of the ChurchOS Living Toolbox™, new emerging tools, and examples of churches deep in Activation in an interactive, dynamic environment. We will tackle topics like onboarding new staff members, creating a robust ChurchOS calendar, and aligning your congregation to the biblical basics of ChurchOS.
